Hawaii 2011

This trip was so much fun, again, that we all didn't want to come home. Hawaii really is the ultimate family trip for us. This year the kids even chose it over going to Disneyland and I think they'd do it again next year if we asked. This year we also traveled with some friends so our kids had friends to play with everywhere we went, they had so much fun. We decided to stay on Oahu this year, near the beach and not get a car. What a great decision that was, everything is literally a walk away. We have been there quite a few times and didn't think at this age the kids would appreciate getting in a car and driving the island to see stuff, we might attempt that next time. We opted to play at the pool and beach all day since we had just been playing in the snow at home the week before. Here are a load of pics from our latest Earle adventure!

Great Wolf Lodge 2011

This year our trip to the Great Wolf Lodge we were able to share it with so many friends which made the trip even more special for the kids. There were 11 kids in all and they dominated the park, well not really but it kind of felt like it. This year Bry went on all the rides including the Howling Tornado, he only went on it once, but he did it...Finally! There is a picture of the both of us on it and the look of unease on his face as he goes down backwards is priceless. He insisted on starting in the place that was facing the drop-off so he wouldn't go down backwards and I kept telling him that the guy was going to spin us, but what does mom know :) and he ended up going down backwards. Bug stayed mostly in the kiddie area and the wave pool. They sure love the wave pool! The twins did their normal thing in the kiddie area as well and B did her normal fall asleep at dinner like all the past years, it was pretty cute. All in all, such a blast going with friends and the kids are already planning next years event.

Basketball 2011

Both boys are playing basketball this year and it is so fun to watch them. Bry is in his third year now and they play by the normal rules and keep score. He is having a blast playing and really improving in all his skills. He loves to have his family come watch him.

Bug is in his first year and already has a passion for the sport. He is great at shooting and can make basket after basket after basket. He scored 4 baskets in his first game. They both ask to go into the garage to practice dribbling or in the front yard to practice shooting. Dad has been playing fun games with them like Horse and Bump and I think he is enjoying it as much as them.

Here are some pics from this last weeks games. They aren't on the same team, they just happen to have the same color jersey this year.

We will miss you Sage!

We had to say Goodbye to a family member that was with us for over 13 years over the past week. It was such a hard thing for all of us to say Goodbye, but we know that she is so much happier where she is now and is so much more comfortable. We love you and miss you Sage!

January

This month there was so much going on. We had 3 Birthdays in our family, football games with friends, skating parties, dinners, Basketball, soccer, date nights, bath times, pajama day at school.....I'm hoping February slows down a bit for us. Here are some pics from our super busy fun month.

Twins turn 4!!!

It's so hard to believe that it has been 4 years already since the twins were born. I keep catching myself calling these two babies and they get so upset with me. "Mom, I'm not a baby...I'm a big kid. It makes me so sad and happy at the same time to see them grow. They had so much fun at their party with all their friends and family. They love going to the Super Jump, especially when the party is all about them. Happy Birthday O and B!!!

Christmas and New Years

Well, I figured better late than never and I know there are a few of you out there that like to stay updated and see the pictures that I have taken. Christmas and New Years were a whirlwind this year and so much fun. We got to celebrate Christmas with both sides of the family this year and had such a great time. The kids hit the jackpot as usual and our house was was filled with new toys, clothes and games to excite them. We had so much fun over Christmas break doing Christmas projects and going on adventures.

New Year's is always a special time for my family to get together to remember my Dad and spend the evening together. This year was the 4 year mark and we miss him this year as much as the first year. Miss you and Love you Dad!!!
